I was in my doctor's office today and he took a call from a patient.
He had written a prescription for 4 pills a day for 7 days -
and the insurance company refused to pay for 28 pills.
The doctor explained that for this medication it is the ONLY way it is prescribed by any doctor.
My doctor told his patient -
"This is outrageous - this is criminal - you cannot be properly be treated without the complete course of 28.
You may even get sicker if you do not complete the course I prescribed.
You must report this to the state insurance commissioner."
For all of those Rs who don't want a "government bureaucrat" between you and your doctor - I hope your doctor and you have to deal with an "insurance bureaucrat" whose primary motive is PROFIT
What medication was it?
What medication was it?
