I'm 51 years old and I'm proud as hell that you the youth of America are standing up and making yourselves heard. You've restored my faith which to be honest I feared that was long lost.

You have them frothing at the mouth but that just means it's working. Stand your ground and be peaceful, don't fall into their traps because there will be many, these people are downright cunning but the numbers are in your favor I just think it's going to take a while for some people to get it.

Although I'm not able to be at the protests right now I am doing my best to counter the attacks and and disinformation about the cause especially to people my own age group which judging from the reaction on social network sites are either passive or aggressive towards OWS with not much in between.

Here's a video I just made as a tribute to OWS. I wrote the song 6 months ago dreaming of a day like this when we would finally say we're mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

Peace hope and change

I am 57 years old and have been marching with them since the Brooklyn Bridge. I want the America back where there are jobs with a future and benefits (like when I came out of high school to work as a secretary on Wall Street), a chance to have a family, buy a home, live your dream if you worked hard enough at it. Through corporate greed (outsourcing/getting tax refunds even though they make huge profits) and bought politicians it is painful to watch our economy and way of life slip further away.

I've been there and have been lucky enough to stay afloat but lost a good sum of money in our 401k in 2008 but I see it all around me and most of the people that are losing are not the lazy, welfare leechers that is being portrayed by some. I know these people personally and the opposite is true and it offends me to see them looked upon that way.

Alldessx3 - Yes, I agree. I see many people in their 50's who worked hard all their lives, did "the right thing", bought the house, raised a family and most of all stayed loyal to their company for 20 plus years. They were repaid by being let go just before they were vested in pensions, medical plans. 401k's and pensions disappeared. They had nothing after all those years of hard work. Now with Social Security and Medicare (not entitlements - money we "invested" and was stolen) on the chopping block I suppose those people who helped make America a great country will be on their own while corporations like GE (remember - "we bring good things to life"?) making $14.2 billion in PROFITS, largest lobbying group in America at $6.8 million a quarter, CEO doubling his salary in one year to $15.2 million and GE getting a TAX REFUND of $3.2 billion will continue to outsource, cheat and reap the financial rewards.

Again.. as I said it with Obama's campaign.. Change, for the sake of Change, is not always a good idea.
