I see a lot of one demand post, sadly. Making one demand saying we are going home will change absolutely nothing in your life. You are putting two pieces of a puzzle together but it is a 1000 piece puzzle.

If you look at peoples problems and demands, you will see their is a list of them that rivals a congressional bill.

What you need to fix, before you go home, is the system. Because if the system will only work for you while you stand in large groups in the middle of a city, then as soon as you get home things are going to stop changing. And this will have to be done over again, or we all will have to put up with the way things are.

What you need to do is come up with an effective way (demands) to change the system so it works for the people. You need:

1) To separate money from politics( and make it very punishable as a bribe and treason to accept money other than in the method specified).

2) Put the power back in the hands of the people. Politicians need to listen to their voters. You should be telling candidates the platform they are running on not the other way around. These people work for you. Thus they dont need a platform, political party, or ideology. All they need is to do what the voters tell them.

3) You need a way to keep tabs on govt( transparency), So all americans can easily see what is going on in the govt. Except where it may harm national security, the govt should be an open book. And the govt uses national security as a secret to keep a lot of things secret. It is an excuse.

As an example of what you should be shooting for i have my suggestions here: http://occupier777.angelfire.com/

Focus on # 2,4,5 of that demand list. If you do not accomplish these 3 things then your lives might improve marginally but that is about it.

So you might as well make protesting your full time job or just accept your life as it is now. This is going to take work people. If you thought it was going to be a weekend warrior for a month thing you are very sadly mistaken. Changing/ fixing something as large as a govt/ economic system takes A LOT more work than that.

Then perhaps the singular, simple message we should be communicating to everyone is "end corruption". It seems like that message can really encompass almost all of what you've written up. And when people ask what we mean by "end corruption" or ask how we do that, we can provide some of these items as a response.

i agree because it has to start with that point. Otherwise your trying to fill a bucket with water that has a hole in it.

"And the govt uses national security as a secret to keep a lot of things secret."

Should read

"And the govt uses national security as an excuse to keep a lot of things secret."
