I want significant changes. Firing Holder isn't going to do me any good unless those changes are made. The public might be satisfied for a minute and look away and not a damn thing is done.
Not the best reason to keep someone. If Holder has made improper decisions It's up to the President to take the moral high ground and get rid of him. If not then Obama should stand by him. To keep him because the nominating process is difficult seems to me to an expediency for the morally weak.
I respect your opinion , and if the "other" side { Rs }
had an iota of reason and honor,
I would deal with them with reason and honor.
If your neighbor has a rabid dog, what would you do? I
I'd deal with the rabid dog as is necessary. I hope I'd never let my fears over what someone else may do force me to accept improper behavior.
Has Holder either something wrong or hasn't he? The answer to that question should be the only moral concern, not want the republicans might or might not do with Obama's next nomination.
