Not Again! Oh God.
my thoughts and prayers and all that stuff you know...
I live in Jakarta, nothing happened. We are alright, it's all good. Y'all don't need to worry or pray because we're fine.
thanks, I read that the wave was only 30 inches this time, thank goodness
Trust me, I'm just as glad as you (if not more so) and for some reason, someone disliked my comment. That's odd.
There are a few who vote not according to the comment at hand, but based on a person's history, it has happened to me from time to time, I guess it's all good, what people think is what they think, perhaps you could find some common ground that usually helps.
It just kind of caught me off guard. Of all the things I've said on this forum, that was the last I expected to get thumbed down, but fuck it, you're right.
Why?
8.7 earthquake about two hours ago, don't know if a wave hit them it was close and they are low, I hope no one dies
I just read a National Geographic that discussed life in Indonesia and the risks of living in such a seismically unstable place. Volcanoes are a day to day reality, the whole island chain is nothing but volcano after volcano. I had no idea.
I hope no dies or is injured, but the honest truth is that its a terribly risky place for humans to inhabit and this sort of thing, this calamity is quite predictable, and is not by any stretch rare.
looks like only a 30 inch wave this time, we may have been lucky
