Then why not simply propose an amendment which ends corporate support of politics? No more "favors" from lobbyist.

Instead, there will be an Election Tax. The government taxes everyone and puts this money into a fund. The two main political parties will split this fund and use it to campaign, therefore evening the odds. They can only use these funds- no corporate backing in return for favors.
