no, not the rest of the 99%, they just call it natural selection. Darwinism at its finest.
Actually, a guy shot himself to death at Occupy Burlington in Vermont, and the people in the camp held a candlelight vigil.
The rest of the country could care less.
Most Americans would not care because they are individualistic. This is exactly why Occupy is growing in numbers, some people want to live in community and help each other.
Keep telling yourself its growing, when in reality participation is declining.
no sir, It's just taking on so many legs, people have choices now, aside from all of the other forums for occupy, many more than you see listed here, there is http://citicommons.com
Did you change your name from Richard Gates? The guy who lives 40 miles from me but wouldn't want to sit and talk about strategy? but rather be anonymous over the internet. Growth is something you get by duplication. What you are talking about is growth by division. I don't consider fractioning the movement into smaller groups is doing it any good. There is no history that that works.
lol. My car needs CV joints. If you want to drive closer, I would love to talk in person.
Are you richard gates from Ft. Walton Beach?
you said i was now you are asking? You don't like my approach but you want to talk with me? I am all up for participation and communication. I am less anonymous than all but one person on here. My online work is very informative and open, about myself and position. I must ask why the interest if you disagree with my project so much.
I asked if you were him. I asked you once before about getting together and you said you didn't do that. I was surprised now you wanted too, which is why i was asking if it was the same person. I didn't say i disagree with what you said, just the approach is fractioning the idea.
Well initially i wouldn't because i was still assessing the users and forum. The reason we need options is because OWS is an easy target. Grow many legs under many brands but all with the same base principle of unity, you make it harder to target and easier to bring more people into the fold.
The idea is to unify people, not the brand.
I agree wholeheartedly. Why do you think i take such a firm position against anyone who espouses Marxist or anarchist ideologies? Or people who want to change to some utopian democracy? The movement isn't going to gain any supporters like that. Stick to correcting the corruption and regaining the representative nature of our government and there will be lots on board to do that.
Exactly. Sorry if i had not been more clear on this earlier.
For all of the talk on the forums or other boards, the movement will never achieve without well thought out, and executed action. And i don't mean these protests, or some radical idea of action. Here is something i know to be true about this movement. 99% of the people who are supporters of the movement, or participants, have never in their life created a plan, organized it, and implemented it through to the end, working through the problems as they go. Almost none. So how can we expect it to succeed if people, like me and others, who have experience in planning organizing and executing a plan are driven away by the radicals?

Such rapier wit! What fun you must be at cocktail parties!
Did someone say "cocktail party"?
Not witty, just factual.
actually, liberals are known for being softies, against the death penalty, all that. it's more of a right wing idea to say, i'ts not our fault or problem you couldn't hack it.
Is that a problem?
I guess if you are not serious about change, no.
The inflammatory statements do a disservice to the entire country. Not just you. It's also a reflection on your party.
You assume I have a party affiliation, I do not as I am not registered as anything, though I was once a card carrying libertarian. I just believe if someone decides to take their life it is only an issue for the family and friends, but not the responsibility of society as a whole. I believe that if someone wants to tie up rush hour traffic by threatening to jump off a bridge they should be pushed off, the mess cleaned up and allow everyone else to go about their lives. If you feel that is cold hearted and you look down upon me, then that is your problem and not mine.
please quote me on what i said that points to my not caring or being "cold hearted" I look down on your assuming statement, true.
Please read the statement more closely as I was referring to the statements that I made. "If you feel that is cold hearted......"
no, not the rest of the 99%, they just call it natural selection. Darwinism at its finest.
this is what i was commenting on. this is your post, correct?
So, you have eloqeuntly lived up to your monicker and tap danced around my 2 other posts on this subject, bravo. Yes, that is my post, so do you feel that my statement is cold hearted or do you agree?
What you mean to say is i won't just play along. get used to it.

It's science experiment now. Nothing more. You're like a petri dish....or a zoo. "look mommy...that one over there is pooping in a bucket"
