I'm looking for short-term demands that local groups can ask for at rallies and their occupations.
Demands can apply to the local area, or to the national arena, I'm just looking for things we can demand and win relatively quickly if one or all our communities demand at the same time.
Examples would be things like demanding that congress (or a state's legislature) table a specific piece of legislation that favors corporations over the public or that a specific politician make a statement on an issue they endorsed that went against the public interest.
Demands must include the following:
- They need to be achievable within a couple of weeks.
- They need to be something that doesn't only cater to one ideology. If the demand wouldn't be something that a majority of the 99% would want, then it's out.
- It must be measurable, we need a way to point at something to prove the demand was met.
Little victories can be important too.
