I would like to participate in the Occupation, but like so many Americans I am working hard to support my family.
This got me to thinking, how can I have a presence in this movement? I have a wife and two kids who need me here at home.
Suddenly an idea hit me. What if I could post my picture and my one demand somewhere on the Internet. A person who is attending the protest could print out my picture and demand on a piece of paper and hold it on a sign, pin it to their shirt, whatever.
I keep picturing thousands of peaceful protesters each having a dozen faces pinned to their shirt, or on a sign, or banner, and it gives me the chills.
The zeitgeist movement has used this method.
The campaign is called "Why i advocate the zeitgeist movement". 100s of videos are up around the web.
The occupy movement could use this to their advantage as well.
i think that people who can't attend protests but want to support it should wear a clearly labeled button wherever they go. I have a bright pink one that says "stand with the 99% - occupy wall street" that I wear whenever i go out in public.
