I will send ONE(1) protester a cold weather kit, to include a tent, gloves hell Ill even throw in some chapstick. This is a legitimate offer, you can thank Hilscher. I felt like an ass so I intend to make it right, I only ask for a photo of the gear actually in use, and maybe a little bio about the person Im sending the stuff to. I am looking for the average out of work guy or girl Someone that is actually there because they got fucked over, you guys find em and I will protect them from that prick Old Man Winter. You have my word! I decided this was best way, no way was I sending cash until there is some transparency in that regard. So how do I pick this person? I will give my number to admin if needed to verify this offer.

I may not agree with some of you guys, but If you want to freeze your asses off for something you believe in, then perhaps I need to learn more about it. I have been cold in the military and nothing tests your will like it.

What's the point of sleeping in a 'park' even in good weather? It's retarded. Who does this put pressure on? To what end? Who cares? Sure, there are legitimate grievances (e.g. increasingly concentrated wealth corrupts the democratic process, etc.), but what does sleeping in a park for a month plus achieve? At this point it has become more of a peculiar new lifestyle movement than anything else. Thank god the early snowstorm, lol (and I'm an atheist!).

If they can handle the weather then the least I can do is actually listen to them. I am very much a capitalist but one of them was nice when I was an ass, so I am gonna make that right.

Sure, a lot of them are nice; a few even have some good ideas; it's still retarded to sleep in a park for a month, even in good weather. I see this morphing into more of an odd new sort of lifestyle movement than anything else (i.e. people who live in parks?). Dumb.

Well it must not be too cold, no one has considered my offer.

It's modeled after the Spanish Indignados protests. You can Google for more info.

Like a lot of other things about this protest, locating in a park here doesn't make as much sense as it does there but that's the idea.

Pehaps, but I seriously doubt most of the people freezing in Zucotti ever even heard of the indignados.

No perhaps about it. Several people from the Indiganos movement directly helped in planning OWS. Whether most of the people down there understand how it came about is another matter.
