Forum Post: I was just wondering...

Amidst all this talk of rising wealth inequality and creeping influence of corporate interests over representative government, of corruption and the erosion of democracy, has anyone taken the time to consider the plants?

Although these issues should be addressed, a far more pressing concern is the health of the grass in parks around the country. Unlike animals, plants have rigid cell walls that provide rigidity to their structure. These cell walls are not rigid enough, however, to resist thousands of protesters walking over them. And also unlike animals, plants rely on a process called photosynthesis, which turns sunlight into useful energy with which grass can grow longer and greener. But when a tent is set up on grass, the grass is deprived of light. Millions of blades of grass are dying.

The protesters have a right to speak their mind, for sure, but what are the rights of millions of people when compared to the very lives of potentially BILLIONS of blades of grass?

these are real issues for some, maybe, not likely, but there is a slim chance.., please post them to the Direct Democracy issues, so we can vote on this...
