I am reasonably talented, play a mean bass and very competant on guitar (6 and 12 string) and can sing in tune. It is unfair that the big record companies and radio stations are not interested in my music, but are instead allowing people like Lady GaGa and Foster the People put their crap out. I do not think it is right or fair that ticket prices to concerts are so high. Perhaps you at OWS can put it in your charter (or whatever the GA calls it) that 90% of the ticket and merchandise sales be given to musicians who are trying to get heard. It is only fair that everyone have the sam chance as those that have succeeded and the multimillionaire musicians should pay their fair share to equalize the playing field.
Ha, I get it. So what you're saying is...people shouldn't expect handouts when the reality is they simply don't have what it takes to succeed. Hey, what do you say we just call them failures? Clearly these people should suck it up, accept their current struggle and work harder. To redistribute wealth to these losers would be like rewarding them for their mistakes and this would disrupt the delicate balance of the entire financial system. It would adversely affect so many. But WAIT, wasn't it the banks that took the enormous socialist handout from the people when they got themselves into trouble? Hmmm.. Perhaps more people should be speaking out about this.
I play trumpet, guitar, drums and keyboards. Unfortunately I have very little talent. I call for redistribution of talent. The super talented, you know the top 1% are being greedy with their talent. I think they should be required to redistribute their fair share to me and those like me.
Who says you have to be any good? That is not fair or reasonable to expect that any talent should be required to achieve equality.
You do have a point. Given some of the stuff that passes for "music" these days, complete with utterly disgusting and filthy language, I guess talent has nothing to do with achieving equality.
Hey, can we also redistribute GPA's at colleges as well? I mean, some of those hotshot rich kids had private tutors throughout high school... it's just unfair. Like we can take the 4.0 kids, and slice off like .3 from each of them. They would still be successful anyhow, you know?
There are 2 people and only 1 guitar; who gets it?
well, that's obvious... the one that needs it! Of course. Not the one who earns it.
What is this "earn" you speak of?
