Convention USA is an assembly of American registered voters who are coming together on the Internet to express their opinions, grievances, and ideas about the government of the United States. We are just as concerned about our country as the Tea Party, just as motivated as Occupy Wall Street, but we think that marching and carrying signs and yelling slogans will not change anything unless the People come together in a solemn and serious convention to discuss, debate, and decide on the changes that are needed to save our republic.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What is Convention USA?
Convention USA is an interactive, virtual convention being conducted on the Internet for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States in the manner provided for in Article V of the federal constitution.
Who is behind it? Convention USA, Inc. is a Florida non profit corporation organized by Judge Thomas E. Brennan and a few associates. Judge Brennan was Chief Justice of Michigan and the founder of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, which is the largest accredited college of law in America. Judge Brennan resides at 12953 Grand Traverse Drive in Dade City, Florida. His telephone number is 352-668-3342. He can be reached by email at thosbrennan@aol.com.
How is it financed? The convention was originally financed by the dues of the delegates. That practice was terminated. Participation in Convention USA is free. Contributions to support the web site may be sent to Convention USA, Inc., in care of Community Bank, Dade City, Florida, 33525. What is Convention USA hoping to accomplish? We have three basic goals: 1) To prove that an Article V amendatory convention will do serious work and not 'run away' or advance radical ideas. 2) To actually draft, debate, and decide upon useful constitutional amendments which will improve our federal government. 3) To generate a groundswell of public support for an Article V convention, and force Congress to call the convention. When will it start? The convention will be called to order when two thirds of the states, 34 states, are represented. Until then, all registered delegates will function as a committee of organization which will propose rules for the operation of the convention.
How will it work? Unless otherwise provided in the rules, the convention will be governed by Roberts Rules of Order, the traditional process for parliamentary debate and decision. Delegates will dialog with others in their state caucus and when a caucus agrees, their proposals will be introduced on the floor of the convention, where they will be debated and acted upon.
Who can be a delegate? Any citizen of the United States is eligible to register as a delegate from his or her home state.
How many delegates will there be? There is no limit. The more delegates register, the more credible will be the work of the convention.
Does every delegate have one vote? For some purposes, yes, but some votes will be by states and some will be by state population. The convention will seek to propose amendments which can garner the kind of super majority support that constitutional amendments require.
How long will Convention USA last? The convention will adjourn sine die when the United States Congress calls a convention pursuant to Article V.

The Revolution starts here!
Thanks for the support stuart. Please people come sign up, we cannot start until we have 38 states represented. We are trying to do something huge! Actually come together with ideas and amend the constitution. Government is to blind to do it themselves and we owe it to our future generations! I refuse to bring a kid in this world as it is now. I am 22 and i hope to be a father someday! SO I WANT CHANGE NOW! Help us take the money out of politics, we want a government of the people, by the people, for the people again. The only way we see this happening is to start a constitutional convention. Any registered voter can be a delegate.
