This serves as a caution that change is not necessarily good or bad. The next change could be either. Even in 1892 we were creating fictions that we could aspire to and try to make real. How are we closer and how are we further from what they were trying to describe. It is observed that the last two phrases are in obviously in conflict. The Constitution demonstrates this even more graphically. They knew it was flawed when it was first circulated, the rejection by the people demonstrated by the Shays's Rebellion, caused the worst deficiencies (slavery?) or a least the universally unpopular ones to be addressed to finally get it ratified, grudgingly by many, but ratified. "More perfect" isn't perfect.

Caution is a natural instinct that all men and women have. Americas 50 states having their own individual governments can be ruled by its people. We originally fought for and purchased this land from others and made it our own to escape dictators. Slavery was voted out a long time ago and now is time for change. Get your votes counted.

Some of the 50 still seem a little confused about rights. My family came here first in 1634, and were victims of the first oligarchy here in America, others of them were in time for the war for independence, and all of my grandparent's families were involved in the Civil War, because they hadn't gotten the Constitution right the first time. People came here for a lot of complicated reasons. The oligarchy we have now isn't anything new. So, it is prudent to figure out exactly what your votes are going to change and why. In retrospect, a lot of my votes haven't done much good. Slavery was voted out, technically, and was replaced by Jim Crow which was no improvement, perhaps even worse. It took more votes in 1964 to start to get rid of it in practice.

I'm pretty sure they didn't have Citizen's United in mind when we started, but thanks to some guys who claim to understand the Constitution, we have it now.

You are part of my family "We The People" and your right when you feel that a lot of your votes haven't done much good. That is part of the corruption. Our Voting System "LOL". Look at who is counting the votes and why do we have to vote in secret? I am free to say hey look at me I voted for him or her " I'm not scared of you bullies". I just want all the votes to be counted fairly.

There is a need today to take lessons from the past. Americas government is willing to change you just have to use your votes to get what you want. I want to know what group of candidates are willing to step forward to represent occupy and ask for their votes. Then occupy can start changing the rules.

The brave men who formed the Constitutions were very careful to keep "God" out of politics. In wisdom they gave everyone the right to freedom of belief. They fought the 1%. The suffered great loss for freedom. THEY gave us the right to vote. USE THE POWER they gave you and which we have countinued to fight. REGISTER AND VOTE! That is the American way.

The American's Creed is the national creed of the United States of America. It was written in 1917 by William Tyler Page as an entry into a patriotic contest. It was adopted by the U.S. House of Representatives April 3, 1918.

I believe in the United States of America, as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.
