We are not being listen do, we are not being taken seriously, why not Occupy the New York Stock Exchange to send a message!!!
We are Occupying an area, it isn't working we need to Occupy something of substance, like the New York Stock Exchange!!
Have you ever been to the New York Stock Exchange? For at least a decade, access has been tightly controlled with security that's similar to the TSA at every airport. Once you get inside, the public has access to a very limited space. The whole place is locked down and not accessible. The space where the public is funneled can hold maybe 50 people. Security glass separates the public from the floor of the exchange below. 50 people who go there will end up in a tight spot where the police would have a distinct advantage arresting you. Take a walk over there and see for yourself. You won't succeed in disrupting anything.
You are being taken seriously more than you realize. This is a long haul. If this movement continues to build, imagine the impact of a million or more on the Mall in DC the space in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Think big. Imagine the largest number of human beings ever assembled in one place in the history of the planet.
Folks, I think an agenda item could be to overturn the supreme court Citizens United decision that lets corporations control the politicians and the political process.
That and reinstating Glass Steigel would be good starting points.
Isn't working? Its all over FB, national media, international media, people are talking about it at restaurants, park district games..... all over. the message is getting out. What is sure to be a violent confrontation would not help get the message out. Sure, there will be some angry citizens who will be pissed off, but this has to be a movement from the middle and spread from there. If that doesn't happen, it will be regarded as a quaint commentary on why our nation is so messed up.
No it isn't, take a look, 5,000 people in a city of 8 million, 2000 in Chicago my god this country doesn't care!!!!
ows is working. there has been a world-wide response in only one month. occupying the stock exchange would be violent and not the message ows needs.
be patient, stay focused, stay united. wait and see
