Ok, so I am here because I need help on how to start the movement in my city. I need basics such as what we are protesting, who caused the economic crash, how to organize, how to find basic information on economics and politics, how can we stop corporations, what questions I will be asked, how to answer those questions. Can anyone help me? I'm not completely ignorant to what is going on I just want a base that I can come back to for information. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Basically A friend of mine and I have been occupying a local park downtown right across from our city hall and US Bank I would say a damn good location. We are holding up signs and when people ask what we are protesting I usually answer corporate greed,1% holds 60% of the money the 99% which is us only hold 40%,corporate lobbying is hurting the people because it is in interest of the corporations and not the people,we need to take the money out of politics. how am I doing so far? what do I need to know?

Instead of feeding the trolls why don't you comment on pages like this for people who need help ?!

Make sure to stay on point and don't get distracted by people trying to persuade you that it's not on the banks and speculators. There are plenty of people who are getting all up in this trying to sneakily or unwittingly advocate for the excesses of capital influence. They have another protest movement they can try to revive, and it's not here. We're not trying to stop corporations, even though the detractors will try to accuse you of thinking that. We want them to be accountable. play fair, and voluntarily consider a halt in the arms race of money for votes.

Start by watching this: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/ascentofmoney/featured/watch-the-two-hour-the-ascent-of-money/24/ and then read up on subprime mortgages, CDOs, derivatives, etc. in order to understand what caused the crisis. If you want to look at possible templates for a solution, read up on FDR and the New Deal.

Great speech, contemplating getting a megaphone and giving this speech in my local city.
