graduated 3 years ago from Mercer University with a masters in electrical engineering. He paid off his student loans this week, do you know how? He made it the priority after he became employed. He bought a POS car and lived very inexpensively, well within his means. If he could do it, why can't you?

You mean he INVESTED in an education that would provide a return? He should not have to pay back anything. The 1% should pay for our education, our housing, food, IPhones. It is unfair that we should have to take personal responsibility for anything. That is now how we were raised.

damn him. a degree in a field that is in demand and paying loans he took out?

He and his kind will be the end of the country.

It is the right of every OWS'er to have someone else pay their loans off because they can't take responsibility for themselves. OWS'ers are whiners who can't accept the fact that they are weak minded individuals who can not make it on their own so in order to validate their self worth, they have to join a "group" to feel fulfilled. Sheep!

Because I've got bigger sheep to fry

I was trying for something with the electrical engineering degree and whatnot...anyways :(

I'd rather educate myself for free than pay out the ass for some private institution to enslave my ass for the next 10+ years

I cannot say I disagree, but you and I (as well as OWS) knows that that piece of paper means a lot. We also know that the prestige of the name on that paper has weight as well which is why so many of these protesters are going to those universities, they just do not want to have to pay the cost.

True. Though I think it may eventually get to the point where the ends do not justify the means; that is to say that it may cost more money to go to school for four years than we'll be making after we graduate five-or ten years later, and in some cases already is.

What OWS does not realize, or even care about, is that tuition is out pacing inflation at a ridiculous rate. too many high paid professors that have a TA teach the class while they are doing who knows what. These kids that want to bitch about their tuition need to be protesting at the university or the state capital if it is a state sponsored school.

He was very lucky to find a job. Currently, there are not enough jobs in America for everyone.

Great kid, home schooled. His dad is my best friend and it was neat watching him grow up to the adult that he has become.
