Forum Post: I had a dream - Gather together to destroy the bugs

I had a dream last night. It was extremely vivid and ever though I woke up two or three times during the dream, it continued each time I feel back to sleep.

The basic gist of it was that I was with my family and friends in a large house where everything we touched was infested with bugs. Bugs that, if you touched them, would crawl under your skin.

I would try to squash them and cut them but they would just come back to life or split into two bugs and I couldn't stop them. So one of my family members showed me how to cast spells to kill them. There were various spells. Blasts of fire, blasts of freezing cold, shock waves, spells that would knock them out, etc. And each kind of bug required just the right kind of spell to destroy it.

Furthermore, once they got under your skin, you had to not only kill them while they were inside you but then rip your own skin open and dig out their dead bodies. Failure to do so caused you to become a zombie.

In the dream, I had a young son, about 6 years old, and I told the others that he wasn't well: He hardly slept and when he did, it was like he was only half asleep. He barely talked any more and when he did it was mostly nonsensical. He moved slowly, his eyes seemed vacant and he didn't smell right. One of my family members took my head in my hands, looked at me with sad eyes and said, "What condition do those symptoms fit? Come on, you know". I said with deep sadness in my heart, "He's a zombie". "That's right," my relative said. "You know what has to be done". So I cast a fire spell and burned my son's already dead body.

Not long after that, I started to get overwhelmed with bugs. I couldn't keep up with them. So I called some of the others on my Walkie Talkie but they started reporting that they were overwhelmed too.

I was scared but I thought maybe we should try a new tactic. If all of us got together and got rid of all the bugs in one area, then moved to the next and got rid of all the bugs in that area and so on, we might be able to defeat them. I was worried about the possibility that the bugs might build up so much in the areas that we weren't there that they would become undefeatable. But then I realized that the bugs only increase in number when they're burrowing under our skin and turning us into zombies. So my tactic could work.

When I have dreams this vivid, they usually mean something in real life so I'm trying to understand what this dream means in the context of Occupy Wall Street. This much I'm sure of: The bugs are the ideas, spread by the 1%. The zombies are the people who get "turned" by the bugs and become the slaves of the 1% and you have to destroy the bugs before the people become zombies because once they're zombies, it's too late to help them. And the people in the house, were, of course, us. The 99%.
