After the dumbing down came corps & media enticing to become dependent upon them. We need to select the critical skills for independence and collectively develop or redevelop them.

Ows should be doing this on the side to lead sustainability.

we need to support each other and stop pretending the economy is a competition

Good perspective on the corporate paradigm we work in by default.

Groups thinking and acting to meet needs locally with maximum independence. Cooperation for the sake of survival, then adaptation.

I can't do my job much longer. I sit in front of computers or apple devices. We are getting too busy and wages don't increase. My body is getting weak. I just want to be outside with my kids.

Do you like walking and meeting people? I want to make that my life. Enough trading the best hours of my day/life making other people rich.

with each generation the sense of entitlement grows

EDIT: OH SO FITTING

with each generation the sense of entitlement grows

I take it for granted that you are talking about the wealthy and corp(se)oRATions.

Don't fear the corp(se)oRATIONS

All our times have come

Here but now they're gone

Seasons don't fear the "reaper" - [ "From this point forward corp(se)oRATions & the wealthy"]

Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are

Come on baby..."don't fear the reaper" - ["wooing government & the general public"]

Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper

We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper

Baby I'm your man...

Valentine is done

Here but now they're gone

Romeo and Juliet

Are together in eternity...Romeo and Juliet

40,000 men and women everyday...Like Romeo and Juliet

40,000 men and women everyday...Redefine happiness

Another 40,000 coming everyday...We can be like they are

Come on baby...don't fear the reaper

Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper

We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper

Baby I'm your man...

Love of two is one

Here but now they're gone

Came the last night of sadness

And it was clear she couldn't go on

Then the door was open and the wind appeared

The candles blew then disappeared

The curtains flew then he appeared...saying don't be afraid

Come on baby...and she had no fear

And she ran to him...then they started to fly

They looked backward and said goodby...she had become like they are

She had taken his hand...she had become like they are - [LOST]

Come on baby...don't fear the reaper

please don't be offended if I am clumsy in my presentation, (some things are best discussed face to face), yes you are to some extent correct, I strongly believe that folks are folks, and it is useful to think of many factors when considering the actions of others, when one is born to wealth, it is not unnatural for them to assume certain things in life, one assumption often made is that money should make money and if you pay for something you have a right to say how it is used, a house, a car, a business, a tax bill ect..., this is a common belief among the wealthy and the not so wealthy alike, as the wealth grows larger and larger as it has done and is passed from parent to child, this sense of entitlement, for money to make money and for money to buy things becomes deeply ingrained, and cause otherwise "normal" people to do the most horrible of things and there is more even more evil things to come if we don't do something about it

perhaps easy money changes perspective that others may not be so well

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

most of the wealth in America is held by people who received it at birth, look at Forbes 400 list, if you have any doubt

I don't read propaganda

Property/Resource ownerships is the base of any economy

not money

Suck it up and get a job, Any job. A lot of honest and ethical people make their living doing grunt work. It's honorable work. Nothing wrong with grunt work. I don't want my tax dollars supporting some bum who will only consider a job that air conditioned,.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

we live off the food of the earth

[-] -2 points by Narley (272) 11 years ago

It's a little more complicated than that.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

Have you tried it? Living off the earth, I mean?

It's easier and tastier by the ocean. In the tropics.

[-] 2 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

all my food comes from the earth
