As you've all seen, NYC is run by some extremely corrupt people. A hunger strike would probably change that.
More on that here: http://ltvsquad.com/Blog/2011/09/28/nyc-2011-its-time-for-hunger-strikes-and-yes-continued-protests/
A hunger strike in general against whatever you all decide your demands are would certainly keep getting attention and really start the snowball affect.
How does a hunger strike solve anything?
Why would anyone care that you are voluntarily not eating for a few days?
That's extortion.
Then Gandhi and Nelson mandela were the greatest extortionists that lived on the face of this earth. Grow up !
Maybe you should do a hunger strike next time someone gives you a parking ticket.
You are given parking ticket because you have violated a common sense agreed rule. If you didn't violate any rule, goto court and demand justice. :)
i don't agree. this takes us off into the wrong direction. We need to get the homework done. Whats the message? what are we hunger striking for?

a hunger strike is stupid and pointless as all the rest of it until they do the work on the front end which they haven't done yet to organize their so called movement. As one example of this, your idea will get lost in the scrawl. Only one forum, not 101 forums, so the suggestion box area which you are using in a virtual sense which does not exist will also not be read by the people who would be there to implement it. A hunger strike is a nonsensical idea given the other things that are far more important which MUST get attended to in order to succeed.
