Human nature does not have to change; we just have to recognize that there is a largely ignored half of our nature. The great spiritual teachers like Buddah, of whom there are many today, are also human beings -- but they are driven by that better half -- the spiritual half; emphasis for the majority has always been on the physical and mental half -- we praised people for achievement in these areas and tended to scoff or demean anyone who was different. We remained immature in our emotional expression, so undisciplined feelings became a force for this skewed mental/physical view. Nothing really functioned: not governments; not religions; not economies. But, people all over the world are beginning to grow the spiritual part of our collective human nature, which matures our feelings along with it. When our intellect, strength and feelings are in the service of our spiritual half, we will have finally evolved into an integrated being.
