I am OPPOSED to the use of marijuana, but the fact is, we're making EXACTLY the same mistake we made in Alcohol Prohibition. People are using it in spite of our laws, and we're suffering a terrible cost trying to stop them; our prisons are filling and we've created violent gangs. We ALSO miss a large revenue opportunity.

The War on Marijuana is long over, and we lost.

California's anti-smoking efforts show there is a better way; tax the product and spend some of the revenue educating our children and the public at large regarding it's dangers.
