Science is neither inherently 'good' nor 'bad,' it's all in how it's applied, of course. And I hate to sound like a hard-core pessimist, but I feel that even if we get a handle on all the things occurring nowadays that threaten our survival, climate change, GMOs, etc., some new 'science' will come along that will muck it all up. At the risk of sounding like a Luddite, I sometimes wonder if societies like the Amish aren't onto something. And I wonder who's going to throw million$ behind the development of this technology:
