As if beating them up and trying to run them down with horses wasn't bad enough.

[-] -2 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

You are right,,, not enough.

[-] -3 points by KnowledgeableFellow (471) 13 years ago

Oh, that police brutality argument again. You are hilarious.

[-] 4 points by JonoLith (467) 13 years ago

I just believe in treating Humans like Humans. I'm sorry you don't feel the same.

[-] -2 points by Perspective (-243) 13 years ago

Do you now? OWS doesn't treat the police as humans. As a matter of fact they take great lengths to dehumanize the police so they don't feel so bad when they pelt them with, paint, rocks, bottles, fireworks, etc. All of these attacks on the police are well documented. OWS treats humans like humans unless you don't agree with them. Then you're open game.

[-] 1 points by JonoLith (467) 13 years ago

Got even one document? I'd like to see it.

I tend to agree with you though. There's plenty of Dehumanization on the OWS side of things as well. I imagine things will flip when the Police join OWS because of the inevitable Economic Crash that means they can't get paid anymore.

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 13 years ago

Document? You don't believe your own eyes?

[-] -2 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

You used the terms protesters and humans in the same breath?

[-] 3 points by JonoLith (467) 13 years ago

Yup, and you should be ashamed of yourself for seeing them as anything less then Human.

[-] -3 points by KnowledgeableFellow (471) 13 years ago

Don't break the law, and respond to the police and you won't have any problems. If they police are in the wrong, then there is a path to take to get justice. But as long as you challenge the police with illegal acts, they will, and should, deal with you accordingly.

Geez, this stuff really isn't that hard to understand, is it?

[-] 3 points by beamerbikeclub (414) 13 years ago

if by "deal with you accordingly" you mean according to the law, then I agree with you. Except I don't say "don't break the law". If you want to break a small law... like occupying a public space in violation of a zoning ordinance in order to exercise 1st Amendment speech and draw attention to a larger issue, go ahead and break the law, but also be willing to submit to arrest. Dr. King and Thoreau were each pretty clear about this. But police must follow the law too. If you break it, they can arrest you. I don't understand what gives them the authority to simply threaten, harass or otherwise whup-ass on you just because you are in violation of a municipal code.

[-] -2 points by KnowledgeableFellow (471) 13 years ago

What is their alternative.....so say "pretty please?"

[-] 2 points by beamerbikeclub (414) 13 years ago

Their alternative...(if you mean the police)... is to make arrests using minimal force necessary, and that is why I criticize protestors that resist arrest. They should Willingly submit to arrest. If they cannot arrest everyone... well, that's how protest wins. But they are not even trying to make arrests...they are trying to threaten and discipline people, or punish them directly. That is not civil society. Laws must be followed on both sides, protestors should be arrested for breaking them. Police should be too!

So, just so we're clear, you're advocating a system where if a Corporately bought Police officer breaks the law, we should go talk to our Corporately bought Politicians, and our Corporately bought Judges to try and rectify this? We might even be able to make it up to the Corporately bought Supreme Court! Maybe we should just wait for the next elections so we can vote for a Corporately bought President.

The game's rigged from the ground up.

[-] -2 points by KnowledgeableFellow (471) 13 years ago

You are way too funny with all of your corporate acquisitions that you describe. Your are a freaking dreamer without a clue.

You have absolutely no proof of anything you have said. You have nothing.

[-] -2 points by KnowledgeableFellow (471) 13 years ago

That doesn't prove crap. Geez...........

[-] 3 points by JonoLith (467) 13 years ago

lol. Okay. Enjoy your life believing that people will act out of the goodness of their heart instead of bowing to their Masters.

[-] 1 points by BrainC (400) from Austin, TX 13 years ago

So just out of curiosity, if everyone is bought from the ground up, what kind of recourse do you have? Government policy? Nope, they are bought and paid for? Corporate policy? From whom, the government, see previous statement.

If everyone is bought and paid for from the ground up, and it is rigged against you, then it sounds like a shack in Montana would be the best solution.

[-] 2 points by JonoLith (467) 13 years ago

Or an Occupation.

[-] 1 points by BrainC (400) from Austin, TX 13 years ago

Do you realize what you posted?

an Occupation? Which occupation? Saleman, that would be too much like a sellout. Hmmm... engineer? Maybe, depends on which type, not chemical. Social engineer...Hey, there you go.

[-] 1 points by BrainC (400) from Austin, TX 13 years ago

LMAO. That is a good one. That shit is hilarious.

[-] -2 points by KnowledgeableFellow (471) 13 years ago

you mean you aren't acting out of the goodness of your heart?

[-] 2 points by moediggity (646) from Houston, TX 13 years ago

Its cute that you actually believe that.

To the individuals that want to end the protest are people that don't mind being manipulated, lied to, stripped of their rights, forced into poverty, etc.

Please just bend over and kiss your A.. goodbye!

Look at these CEO Salaries

Peter Fine, an American dream comes true. Peter, a former New York taxi cab driver, has made it big in the health care industry. Now making

OMG, that is a lot of money. Get your calculator out. A liberal democrat movie star living in a mansion, owns jet and limo, works 4 months on a movie and make $30 MILLION for 4 months work. What is his salary? (liberal salary?)

If you could destroy the Occupy movement and prevent any further protests, would you do it? And if you did, what would be gained?

[-] -1 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

YES I would. In a New York second. Now,,, that I got that out of the way,, I would have some real suggestions. I would bet if you sat down across a BUSINESS table,, or bar table,,, people could come to some agreements that changes need to happen in our political and economic structure. OWS is going after corporations. There are MILLIONS of corporations. How stupid do you have to be to know you cant win that battle. But there are ONLY 535 members of congress. The odds of making changes can be dramatic.

[-] 2 points by bugbuster (103) from Yoncalla, OR 13 years ago

Does this mean that you support the principles of the Occupy movement, or at least that you acknowledge the reality of some or all of the grievances it expresses? If so, then is it fair to say you consider its tactics and strategy well-intended but unproductive? Or not?

[-] -2 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

I hate the movement as "presented" and have no idea what the principles are. Nobody knows what the principles are. Everytime I think I understand it and post something I'm told that is not what it is all about. The tactics and strategies are VERY unproductive. You cant change 200+ years of an economy in tents with crap on your pants. I'm a republican. I hate democrats and hate some republicans. If you can get in the face of a handful of important RICH LIBERAL DEMOCRATS and show the poor guy that the rich liberal democrat living in a mansion is making you to be a SUCKER, then you got something. A handful of rich democrats would then lead to a handful of rich republicans. I want to be clear. I'm not against the RICH or wealthly. I'm against hypocritial people that use others. I find rich democrats to be FAR more hypocritical than rich republicans. Once you have their attention then real policy changes can take place in political funding,,,, if thats what you want. Corruption is for the most part, overlooked in the halls of congress on both sides.

[-] 1 points by April (3196) 13 years ago

Agree. But I think for that to happen - like ending corruption in government, we would have to work with and through government to affect those changes.

[-] -2 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

The protesters should be protesting 535 offices in congress not some stupid park. There are NO RICH PEOPLE IN THE PARK TO SEE YOU PROTEST. Whats the point???????

[-] 0 points by dantes443322 (148) 13 years ago

Steelers Polka!

[-] 1 points by moediggity (646) from Houston, TX 13 years ago

I don't want to be a billionaire. How is me not being super rich working against myself? You mustn't be super rich because you're on here gabbing away on a website, using your sock puppets to upvote you and downvote others. Its amusing how much of a temporarily embarrassed millionaire you are.

[-] 1 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 13 years ago

does that web site talk about re distribution of wealth. If not, how will it stop the occupation?

[-] -2 points by Karl99 (63) 13 years ago

How about throwing some soap into the OWS camps, that will make them run.

[-] 1 points by USCitizenVoter (720) 13 years ago

Karl99, I'm calling you out. You'll send me your phone number if you have any balls.

[-] -1 points by Karl99 (63) 13 years ago

Sorry, i have security concerns given the violent nature of OWS.

[-] 0 points by USCitizenVoter (720) 13 years ago

Just thought we could meet and I would buy you a beer since you called me a illegal alien who can't speak english. Supporting the beer manufactures. Like BUD. That would be good for the economy.

[-] -1 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

Isnt it terrible that for all they do, 99% of Americans view them simply as people that need a bath. Which is true.

[-] -2 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

Can you imagine if the game 'Twister' was handed out. End up with your face in some guy ass that hasnt showered in two months. Heck, they make like that. Keeps them busy.

[-] -2 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

Play the "Chicken Dance" until they all drop dead tired.

[-] -3 points by mynameismoe (153) 13 years ago

I would also suggest a trick. Trick the protesters into a game of "Simon Says" "Simon says,,,,, no crapping today" They all pass out with pain in a few hours. End of protest.
