Here's a snap shot of why we need more CEO, financial leaders in this country to understand one of the secrete why Steve Jobs was able to bring Apple to become one of the most successful and competitive company in the world (sounds like just what we need NOW in USA.... "SELFLESS & keep the eyes on bringing up ordinary people's tallents but no on the money $$$"...
According to Forbes's Sep. 2011 Billionair list and today's market cap of the following company that Steve Jobs networth should be around $70B, or much more... but rather his is only humbly $7B !!!!
Name MktCap($B) NetWorth($B) Steve would ($B)
Steve Jobs $360B $7B Howard Schultz $30.5B $1.1B $13B Larry Ellison $156.2B $33B $76B Bill Gates $225.7B $59B $94B Warren Buffet $184B $39B $76B Google (Page, Brin) $173B $39.6B $82B Amazon (Jeff Bezos) $105B $18B $62B Walmart (Walton family) $189B $88B $168B
All billionairs above respectfuly earn their fortune with their own rights and my comparison here (a snap shot of this particular moment of time I sure miss other factors that make them so successful in their own financial life but the number above gives us some hint that why Steve Jobs is so special in his own way that we should look much much more away from individual money gain than our natural born ability to follow our heart and compassion for bettering our communities and countrymen....
I remember Sony ex-chairman Norio Ohga san once puzzled by how much American CEOs make compared to average company workers... "Don't they need others to get the job done and we all can only have 24 hours a day that how can they justify the huge pay difference from the average?"
I think Mr. Jobs share the same wisdoms with Mr. Ohga that propel their company to the top of the global competition ... And we need that desperately in this country NOW if we want to bring back the jobs and compete in the global market again ....
God Bless America !!
I hope everyone can see the difference between the corporations who succeeded honestly and provided many jobs to Americans vs. those who steal their money and exploit the country, such as Goldman Sachs, JP Mrgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America, Big Pharma, Health insurance companies, etc.
