How to counter government TV and Radio shutdown on Nov 9th

The US government is planning a massive shutdown of the TV stations and radios on November 9th. Is it truly an emergency test or a show of power?
We have seen too many disturbing trends of late. Media blackouts about the movement, cops being used as footsoldiers.
This reminds me way too much how they tried to block out protestors in Egypt by shutting down the internet. And make no mistake they will try to shut down the internet next!!
But there are ways to counter this. As someone who has worked in IT for years, there are ways around such a catastrophic coup against freedom of speech.
It's called "mesh networking". Get your IT guys on it NOW!!

There are the distributions that will turn any computer or "off the shelf" device into mesh networking node.

Now, knowing how they could shut down the internet, they could also try to prevent internet websites from functioning at all. I highly recommend that you start posting your streams to websites that are outside the jurisdiction of the united states. Do not forget that youtube is not the only player in the game!

well, i am an actual trained admin, and i have never heard of "mesh networking" to begin with. been building systems for 15 years. secondly, there is no way to create the full duplex needed for tcp/ip on HAM
What do you mean you never heard of mesh networking? It's standard with the A+ certification now. It's one of the four types of network!! Bus, Ring, Star and Mesh!
When was the last time you updated your skill-set? I took the exam about five years ago and it was part of the curriculum.
And if they can have full duplex on wireless networks, why not over ham?
i took the course 2000, worked for an ATM company, moneytreeATMs. i found a ref in wiki to mesh, it's a misnomer for several ad-hock connections with system permission or pass thrue. RE:HAM - because wireless networks are full duplex, you need to look up duplex homie.
Thing is, US works because it doesn't have to spend so much time controlling its population. Totalitarian systems have to do this. US lets people say pretty much what they want. The slaves of US are in other countries. That's why the US government spends to much energy in foreign affairs to control these countries. They are the Chinese kids being paid 10 cents an hour to make your Nike shoes.
This is why I refuse to buy mainstream clothing. Heck tree-quarters of my gear is second-hand, or made by someone I can meet!

Well heck, you give a job to someone!! I recently bought a jacket which had a label on it that made me proud. MADE IN CANADA (And not "MADE FOR"). When was the last time something like that was seen?

Who says anything will be shutdown. They are testing an emergency system. Are you stuck in your conspiracy theories again? lol!
BTW - Government show control by planning what is shown on TV, not by turning it off. It's their most powerful tool.
