"An article in Plunderbund I read recently about Diebold and the state of Ohio illustrates perfectly the conservative plan to "create" jobs.
In a nutshell, here's the situation.
Diebold receives $100 million, including $56 million in state incentives, to stay in Ohio.
In return, Diebold promised to keep at least 1,500 employees. At the time of the agreement, the company had 1,900 employees.
A quick bit of math show's that this lets Diebold eliminate up to 400 jobs while taking in $56 million in state incentives.
What kind of negotiation is this? "
These kinds of subsidies should be banned, and frankly these state governments should give these companies a nice "fuck off" to these demands and use the money to start direct hire programs or hire some people to fix the local infrastructure. Paying money to reduce 400 jobs, holding the other 1500 hostage, is retarded and just another example of how the 1% bullies its way to power.
Good catch.
Don't worry, the layoffs will be in quality control.
They don't need that kind of thing to count votes in Ohio.
You guys are hilarious. Thewhole premise of socialism is trying to centralize planning.
Only problem is, cental planning rarely works, whether by Dem or Rep.
