So the vatican wants a global central bank, their unimaginably absurd demand attempting to ride on the back of the Occupy movement. This movement, as far as I can gather, is made up of mostly people in their early twenties, the igniting complaint being that after getting duped into taking college loans, all the prosperity had run out by the time the attempted brainwashing was over. Naturally I'm all for breaking up the big banks and demolishing the incestuous link between government and large corporations, but they are only demanding jobs, in my opinion, because they've never had one.
How it works is that we generally have to spend a third of our lives sleeping, so that time is spoken for. On top of that, we have no real choice but to spend another third or more of our matured lives at jobs, where we earn a fixed amount of money, feverishly working to increase profits we won't see a cent of until inflation starts impacting on our ability to work. That leaves less than a third of all our lives to actually, you know, live. Except, that third comes after the money pyramid worshipping third, so we're all tired as hell, and the last bit is spent mostly resting and "relaxing", so that we can go to sleep and do it all again tomorrow.
That leaves almost no energy for anything that's really important, like thinking about what we're actually doing, and doing anything other than what you get paid to do. So it happened that we left all the control of almost all the most important aspects of our lives up to someone else. Politics and the issuing of currency is boring as hell, we can all agree, but we need to stop denying that it is ruling all our lives and the way we live it. If not our personal lives, that is certainly affected by our communities which still allow all their personal lives to be guided by it.
The real sick part comes in with the fact that we have allowed this crucial lever of control to be taken over by people we do not know. We don't know these people. We know what their PR departments want us to hear, and in some cases, we're allowed to know what their other enemies would like us to hear, but that's it. When it comes down to it, none of us can interact with these so-called leaders in a setting that is not a public relations event.
Future historians will regard this entire little mess we've allowed to happen as a study in mass insanity. We can accomplish nothing more than our animal impulses without community, and leaving some part of your life up to someone else requires trust. Were we are now, we gave away that trust to people we have never interacted with, and so have no real idea whether they are deserving of that trust. Centralised systems of anything do not work, because after it reaches a certain size, it has to arrange itself in a fashion of top-down control. It's just physics that positions of power attract people who cannot attain anything honestly. No community will be free of these people until enough of us figure out that people and communities can interact to achieve a common goal, but that no station of power, control or importance should ever be allowed outside the reach of the axe and the tree stump.
