Rubber bullets or bean bag rounds only.
Unless you have a hunting license - then a small number of lethal rounds will be permitted to be sold to the license holder. OH and no lead outlaw lead. Lead is toxic and harms wildlife that it is not even shot at. Lost kills and misses stay on the ground and then end up getting into the food cycle/chain.
Yes rubber bullets can kill - but survival after taking a round is so very much higher.
Ultimately, virtually everything we want is based on disarming the opponents of America.
No - not Iran or Michelle's "Soviet Union"
The enemy of America is the control by the rich and the corporations ( and the nra).
[ as if you did not know this already ]
The key here is, that today, with the flood of super-pac ads and the supreme koch making decisions that are well publicized, we have 100 days to elect progressives.
before you say
"I'm not political - I want to vote for a ninth party"
"I'm pissed at Obama - I'll never vote for him"
Am I pissed at Obama for not fighting for medicare for all ? YES
Do I understand that he should have fought, but COULD NOT have won ? YES
PLEASE: consider where our country would be today if, two years ago, the flood of 50 teaparty obstructionist congressmen, had been 50 progressives.
Absolutely - the people need to retake their government - own it - own the process of government like they have never done before. This requires the people to get involved in campaigns like Move to Amend - the removal of personhood from corpoRATions. Continuing in the same vein/manner/method to get things like OSTA done and the end of fossil fuel subsides and the implementation of green power tech and green fuel tech.
Support issues or oppose issues. But absolutely get the corpoRATists out of office.
Involvement in government - ownership of government - does not begin and end in the election of representatives.
I don't buy into it.
Australians got conned about a decade ago to hand in their weapons. You need to jump through several hoops just to buy a BB gun here nowadays.
Why should the one percent and their minions be the only people with decent weapons?
Chris Rock says hundered dollar per bullet tax, it was in his comic routine, but I like the ideal, that's how they made cannabis illegal.
I was kinda thinking that if you could only get a limited amount of lethal rounds for use in hunting with the hunting permit required to buy those rounds - that in extension of the program for the next season you would have to turn in your spent casings to get replacement rounds. Lost casings could be replaced at excessive cost.
Does anybody know how many people actually hunt?
Hunting license sales - probably available through the State Tourism Board as part of their information to attract visitors. But thousands hunt here in Minnesota - Pheasant - Duck - Deer - Bear - Moose - small game - varmints.
We encourage those who smoke to take up othew hobbies maybe that would be good for hunting too.
and thousands more target practice, marksmanship competitions, with all types of guns just for a hobby. stop trying to regulate.
I like to drive too, why are they always regulating stuff anyway. All kinds of cars at all kinds of speed.
Sensible gun control?

I understand what you are trying to accomplish, and I'm not necessarily against it - however, rubber bullets or bean bags at the range that most shootings occur is still highly likely to be fatal. If you hit someone from 5 or 6 feet away - you will likely still get penetration.
Compensated load.
That might work. Obviously you would severely limit the range of the weapon, which is the benefit of a having a gun in the first place. Interesting idea - I don't think it would fly - but interesting nonetheless.
GoodNight EverBody.
Again, the people who want to get their hands on the real ammo will get them, and the people who simply would like to be able to defend themselves against these nuts will be punished. There is no political solution to a cultural problem.
Making lethal ammunition scarce and hard to acquire would start another illegal/criminal business enterprise - but would it be as bad as the illegal drug business?
Also - can't you defend yourself with a non-lethal kick your ass around the block rubber bullet?
This is just something that is being tossed out for consideration.
I think we should use slings, bow and arrows, nunchuks, swords, throwing knives, battleaxes, chain-sickles, and ninja stars. At least those take a little skill to operate. Any monkey can pull a trigger.
