Last fall there were what appeared to be an abundance of Hollywood bashers around the forum. Lately they seem to have fallen silent. They have fallen silent while Disney is set to release a remake of the movie Frankenweenie.
Frankenweenie.
Is this some joke?
Is this sexual innuendo aimed at children?
Is it sexual innuendo aimed at adults using the linguistic constructs of children and so creating confusion regarding what constitutes appropriate behavior where minors are concerned?
Is it?
And if it is . . .
Where are all of you Hollywood bashers now . . .
They are saving up for September 28th when The Hole is released.
There has been a major shift in hollywood productions over the last five years - there are now more male butts and swinging weenies in Hollywood films than there are tits, and more homosexual couples than heterosexual couples in sitcoms; so no, we should not dismiss it as random or coincidental - it is an intentional desensitization.

I understand...
Addendum: The sexual connotation is NOT accidental, nor is all of the Gay-ness in sitcoms or during prime time today - the intent is to begin indoctrination, or desensitization, before adolescents actually become sensitive to these issues. This is not a good thing.
Childhood is the age of innocence and it should remain that way. They can, and will, work out "Gay" all on their own.
Weenie can also be descriptive of a person that is a wimp. Interesting that you automatically link it to sexual innuendos aimed at children.
Yeah that seemed kind of random. Not what I thought of when I saw the trailers.
I would say what most people would think of when watching those ads is non sexual. Most people..

I'm feeling like I'm going to make sure the doors are locked if I ever drive through South Burlington.
We feel like having a hot dogs for dinner? Does the Oscar Meyer Wiener song also make you think of sex? It makes children think of hot dogs.
I know republicans want to censor our lives in more ways then one. They wanted PeeWee Herman off the air because it reminded them of peepees and weewees. Then it was the PMRC who wanted to label albums with a nice little warning. Now hotdog vendors won't be able to use the word Wiener or Weenie anymore because some adults think of penises when they see that.
As a liberal parent, I like making the decision of whether or not my son can see a Tim Burton movie called Frankenweenie. Censoring this title because some adults fantasize about penises when confronted with the slang term for a hotdog makes me cringe. Censorship is bad. Let the parents decide, I'm sure most of them feed hotdogs and fries to their kids once in awhile.
This whole post is based on a non-issue. I certainly has nothing to do with Occupy.
Let's talk about Wall Street shall we?
This looks like another great movie by Tim Burton. It's about science which is a positive thing to teach kids. As for Weenie, it's slang for Wiener which is a type of hot-dog. I don't see a problem. Perhaps when you see Weenie juxtaposed with child you instantly think of penises, but I don't. I think of hotdogs.
Do you like frankfurters? Yes, it's a sausage stashed between two buns, but it's delicious. I heard some people don't eat them because they don't like the idea of sausages being stuffed between buns. Are you such a person? I even squirt mayonnaise all over them. Talk about living on the gay fringe right!
