The news was saying you are moving to Tompkins Square Park. I hope this is not true. That does not send the message that needs to be sent. Hold your ground! I cannot be down there till after work. What can be done later?
get a trash bab, a rake, some gloves, and clean up after everyone.. that will send a better message.
