Hello.
I live in Moldova, a landlocked European country with a population of 3,560,400 people, and I want to move to Botswana, a landlocked African country with a population of 2,029,307 people.
I want to move there because the economy of Botswana is doing much better than the economy of Moldova. Just check these stats:
http://www.nationmaster.com/compare/Botswana/Moldova/Economy
They have a GDP per capita (PPP) five times bigger than Moldova's.
I want some help and advice. How can I apply for a working visa in Botswana? Is it difficult to get a permanent visa?
Do you think that I'm going to be subject to racism or discrimination for being white in a country where 97% of the population is black?
Thank you.
Anyone can give me a light on this?
Why not move to some other part of Europe?
They will never give me a visa, because I'm from Moldova, a very poor country, and they don't want immigrants from poor countries.
I guess that in Botswana they will be more receptive to immigrants, even when they are black, and I'm from a white country.
Well, I confess that another reason why I prefer to go to Botswana is because I love black women, and I dream of marry a black woman.
I want a job at Hyundai Motor's (the Korean automaker) assembly plant in Gaborone.
Anyone knows if rents in the city of Gaborone are too expensive?
The fact that Moldova is a country where 99% of the population is white, and that Botswana is a country where 97% of the population is black, is not a problem for me. I won't be uncomfortable because of this radical change in ethnic composition. I'm an open minded person. I'm only afraid that I may be discriminated by some people there, because I'm white.
Please help me. I'm unemployed, I need a job in Botswana.
