If you believe that men are causing some change to the temperature, then isn't it counterproductive to over-regulate the U.S. industries when we know -- know, beyond a reaonable doubt -- that the culprits are actually China and India?

China is indeed at the top of the list. US and EU are numbers 2 and 3. China is a shame and they need to be pushed - but currently they're unilaterally doing more on renewables than anyone else. They have shown more willingness to work on the issue - including treaties - than we have.

I guarantee you the solution to greenhouse gas emissions will be devised in the United States, not in the EU and not in China. And it will probably be devised by an oil company's R&D department.
