No idea if this forum allows links or videos, but I thought this guy made one hell of an impassioned speech and one hell of a good argument for why our world is in the shitter.

Im wondering what the people in this movement think...

I haven't liked Dylan in the past. But I do appreciate his stance, that he has taken towards this movement. I have a hard time with anybody in the elite controlled media. But I saw an interview today on Dylans' show with David Degraw. Good interview, message got out with no spin.

They had this website up on the screen...

Dylan Ratigan is involved with the organizers of this movement.

He has been on their mailing list and is involved with putting forth strategies and proposals for the movement going forward.

Ratigan is saying what man people have said for decades. Ralph Nader said it so many times that the Power Structure sidelined him and ignored him. Ratigan is saying it now because of the OWS Movement and the increasing number of people pissed off. I can agree with him. Let's focus on getting the Money out of the Political system. All elections but esp. the National need to eliminate all privates sources of money. Furthermore, we need to ban all advertising in whatever form and instead, have mandatory debates (one per issues) which are controlled and conducted by outsiders not the parties involved. We need voting on Sundays, Paper trail, a uniform Federal Ballot, a national primary to select candidates, preferential voting, and a host of other reforms. We need to purify the electoral system to make it fair. I suggest a Voters Bill or Rights. This would be the first step. Next, reform the Parliamentary system and get rid of the filibuster. Our new Motto: Stop the Bullshit. Reform Now.

Ratigan has been saying this for a very long time.

Yes, but he took it to a whole 'nother different level with his emotion. Did you notice he was not making a lot of sense in some moments. But the emotion was cool. That's what we need. Real passion. Something to scare the RIch Motherfuckers like when Fox News came to the Park and everybody did the Fuck You chanting. That was brilliant. Made my day. Thanks.

They chanted 'Fuck you' to Fox News??? Thats the best thing Ive ever heard... Is there any video of this?

[-] 1 points by Dost (315) 13 years ago

Oh yeah, just google it. It's great. Fantastic. Then, a guy at the end explains simply and briefly why.

Exactly... Whats sad is that Ratigan will get fired from MSNBC for this. Then again, maybe it's a good thing. Maybe he would speak for the OWS movement ?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Too bad we don't have a single Senator or Rep who will put his career on the line and quit congress over this issue. If just one would do so, and make a statement to the Press about how corrupt the system is, it would help to make the case about oiur criticism. But, these people are so selfish all they think about is their careers.

He is one of the few people who speaks in longer run-on sentences than I do. I signed the list, but sent the suggestion that the amendment should fix the 527's and all of the money outside of the campaign organizations, e.g. issue ads, educational ads et al. And it should fix it at all levels, state, and local, as well.
