one of the best was the OmidyarNetwork, started in 2004, closed in 2007... it was dedicated to solving world wide poverty problems... Kiva. Grameen Bank, PlayPumps etc... got much early help there...

I have also spent 2 1/2 years lobbying Congress to support an Art's based teaching & job creation project for the District of Columbia.... similar to http://www.dccentralkitchen.org/
all to no avail... I very well know the corruption that exists in our government....
since Omidyar... I have invested much time in developing software that will help continue where Omidyar left off...

Why would we care if you are a cop? We have a right to do what we are doing. In fact it is encouraged by the founding fathers.

Besides the FBI more than likely reads every post here. They should be monitoring Congress instead that is where the real terrorists and traitors are.

Thank you for saying this. I think some of us have been too quick to forget that. We are faced with scare tactics and arrests, we meet some police officers who are acting inappropriately out of fear, and we forget that Cops are human beings with ideas, feelings, personal history. We forget that one uniform does not represent all uniforms. We know what it's like to be grouped together and stereotyped, and we also know how diverse the participants of this movement truly are. Let's keep this in mind when we think of judging others.
