See the award-winning documentary "HAPPY" -- extraordinary film, thoroughly researched.  It may be the single best source of information on what direction the Occupy movement should take.  Bhutan, for example, measures gross national happiness in addition to GDP so that decisions are balanced.  Flooding a valley to generate marketable electricity to be sold to India might seem on the one hand beneficial (by GDP standards) but this would also destroy important forests, spiritual centers and ruin communities.  Cost is just too high in terms of gross national happiness.
