Here are some numbers: I own a small business with 25 employees. Every employee makes between $45k-$90k per year, full medical & dental, and matching retirement. I pay $20,000 per year in federal income tax because my payments on things like equipment are considered "income" not expense, I pay $60,000 per year in state unemployment insurance, $55,000 in state worker's comp insurance, $114,000 in employer paid federal payroll taxes, $60,000 per year in state B&O tax, and at the end of the year I get to pay myself $60,000 a year. I'm taking all the risk, I'm working 18 hours a day, and I get paid the same as my employees. Quit complaining "Occupy Wallstreet" and create your own destinies.

As mentioned earlier, thank you for your company offering benefits and good wages for your employers. I'm sorry for how you may feel with not having a higher percentage wage over your employees. I feel you are an example of how small business gets shafted by the huge corporations who work side by side with the politicians of your district instead of the politicans keeping focus on their district's businesses first. If it means anything, you're providing a future to those workers. That is priceless. God Bless.

First, let me commend you on the benefits you give your employees. However, you are the exception and not the rule. You don't say what business you are in. Some workers and their skills are more in the demand than others. In other words, there may be many reasons why you earn the same as your employees. When one goes into business one can be guaranteed to become rich. Quit complaining. You have created your own destiny. That is the privilege the 99% want and deserve.
