From Norman Solomon With primary day exactly one week away, I turn for help from my oldest friends – the members and supporters of PDA.
My run for Congress in California’s new progressive North Bay district, in a sense, grew out of my years of work with PDA’s“Healthcare NOT Warfare” campaign – which is how I met so many of you.
With your help, we’ve built perhaps the strongest grassroots campaign for Congress in the country – and the most progressive. Up and down Northern California’s coast, I’ve championed the full PDA agenda: enhanced Medicare for All, end the wars, slash military spending, tax Wall Street, green jobs, etc. This will be my agenda in Congress.
And please forward this email to friends and relatives who are not on the PDA email list. And, also, continue the great work many of you have been doing calling voters in my district; email Mike Fox to join the phone banking team.
With your help, we can get to November – even though we’re battling two big-spending, corporate-connected Democrats.

National figures have come out fighting for us in recent weeks – from author Barbara Ehrenreich to singer Maria Muldaur, from Rep. Raul Grijalva to Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Actor Mike Farrell did a video. Former Rep. Alan Grayson sent national fundraising appeals. Musician Tom Morello has tweeted his support. On Thursday, Jackson Browne will be in the district to sing at a last-minute campaign event.
