Why must health insurance companies be for profit, who's concerns are for the shareholders and CEO's?

Did anyone mention IBM's Watson to help us solve our medical problems. Obviously, AMA lobbyists would disapprove.

We used to have video rental centeres on every corner. why not have diagnostics and imaging easily available and not over insured in term s of the potential liabilities.

Calbrate the blooming machines and have them be self serve.

You're right; why should there be an incentive to do anything? People should just do it out of a sense of duty and force themselves to feel satisfied and fulfilled.

oh boy, noone is saying that. for example, don't you think medication cost too much? why do you think that is? surely you must know someone who has gone in debt or struggled finically due to medical expense?

im not saying it should be free, but come on, noone should spend half the monthly salary on meds.

also, why do you they organize bus trips to take people into canada to get get cheaper drugs? what do you think "generic brand" means?

The medical and insurance industries - especially medical insurance - are some of the most regulated industries in the world: perhaps that's the problem.

Well in this case breaking even and helping people with health care costs seems more important than huge profits.
