(1) A little too vague for me. (2) Strike. Too complicated to discuss. (3) Completely reasonable, and I agree. It is such common sense that I am surprised no such law is in place. (4) I think that is in place now. (5) Tax Reform is a great concept, but it always worries me. Even this one because there will be winners and losers. And a flat tax is anything but fair. (6) I agree. Health insurance for all. If people want supplemental health insurance, they can buy it on the market. Let people purchase health insurance from other states as well. Let us import pharmaceutical drugs from other countries; we import medical equipment, devices. The pharmaceutical industry has so much control in the USA. (7) No way. I would not give any government agency the power to shut down a corporation (or company i.e., LLC) or any entity absent a court order and fair hearing.
(8) Agreed. Cut defense. The U.S. government IS defense: everything else is self-funding---and profitable for the U.S. government---such as social security. (9) Absolutely. The absence of assistance for our jobless is remarkable and why the recovery is not a recovery. There is no recovery because there are not activities to create the environment for one!
(10) 100% AGREE. This would spur economic activity as well since so many people spend all of their disposable income to finance student loan debt. Relief is critically needed. Now. Yesterday, in fact.
(11) Agree. (12) Totally agree. (13) Too vague for me. (14) Agree. We need a manufacturing capacity. Go to germany and see state of the art factories building world-class helicopters. WHY CAN"T WE BUILD ANYTHING HERE? WHY? WHO IS STOPPING US? NAFTA?
(15) Agree. Pursue fair trade as well. Why do we let ourselves get hosed on int'l trading? Makes no sense whatsoever. End tax incentives to relocate overseas. Eliminate the repatration tax for 2 years: bring U.S. wealth back home. (16) Agree. But I would abolish the SEC - totally incompetent and inept agency that has prestige that is so undeserved.
(17) I totally agree with refinance EVERY RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGE OUT THERE! First, I would institute a moratorium on residential, single-family foreclosures. Then, I would refinance the notes: lower interest rate and principal reduction. THIS IS WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THE ECONOMY TO RECOVER. (18) Yes. I would make this (17). Need the moratorium first, then we can fix them to heal the total economy. (19) Vote holiday. Voting day should be a national holiday. Why is this so controversial? What "voter" does not want a vote holiday, notwithstanding those that try to exclude people from exercising their right to vote? (20) Absolutely. I cannot believe the money we are spending there while we are breaking down here. Makes absolutely no sense.
