Disney World does something similar in terms of paying really low wages and deducting rent from the wages, thereby making more money off the workers.
Sadly, it may take foreign workers to wake up the labor movement in this country since American workers are asleep, blaming themselves for not becoming the next Mark Zuckerberg.
Many are also convinced that union busting is a good thing.
It's not at all unlike Stockholm syndrome.
As if attaining ever less purchasing power will create a capitalist nirvana as long as the guys at the top keep making zillions.
It's completely unsustainable.

The problem is these corporations and their CEOs refuse to understand that we have a consumer based economy. They refuse to understand that reducing the number of consumers and reducing their pay destroys the economy.
I don't know if it's cost effective but it sounds like a good idea.

Well I know in the north there is because whitie won't patronize a location that employs blacks. In the south they are far more open to this, especially as relates to food prep.
