One thing I hear many uninformed people say about OWS is "what exactly do they stand for?" and the problem is we stand for so much that its difficult to get people to listen for long enough to make an impression. One idea that I think would resonate deeply with everyone is a Guaranteed Income. A guaranteed income would be a middle class empowering, across the board stress reliever in a simple two word message. The fear from layoffs, medical expenses, and home foreclosures would be reduced dramatically. Many people would suddenly be able to retire, freeing up jobs for everyone else. It would replace welfare, social security and help offset medicare costs. We could start small and go from there.

Why won't it work in the real world? We already have social security, welfare, and unemployment benefits so it would essentially be an expansion of those. Perhaps there could be a cap based on net worth. And thats why I said start small and go from there, so lets say $500 a month per family for the middle class and the poor with an increase on taxes for the wealthy. That is certainly feasible
