Forum Post: Global Democracy

Maybe a few weeks ago, I saw one of your activists put a video on www.youtube.com calling for world wide democracy. At first I dismissed that ideal thinking, who would do that? the one percent. Later pondering this subject I came to the conclusion that the 1% should not draft the next democracy, the 99% should. Over thanksgiving I watched Occupy become totally self sufficient. I think you guys with all the help of all the encampments around the world should draft a constitution. As you can see the governments in the west are flailing, this would be a government without the fallacy of borders. It would not matter if you were a Jew or Palestinian, your rights would be under protection of this government. My suggestion would be to start with what you know and that's mostly America. I believe the American Constitution would be a great place to start, but instead of a declaration of independence you would draft a declaration of world piece. My suggestion for such a declaration would start out as: We hold these truths to be self evident that all sentient beings are recognized as a natural person with inalienable rights not given here but simply listed. I would try not to have any real leaders, no hierarchy Just a representative who listens to the people and conveys the ideals they agree on. You would not have a president just a representative who would represent your international idea's that would not fall under local encampment issues. These people in this holographic power structure should be elected by a direct democratic process, one human being one vote. This is just a suggestion and that's why its not in a wiki, I want you guys to pass this ideal around and think about it. Oh I have also been passing around the ideal of making all patents public domain. That ideal has been hit or miss and I must bend to the will of the people, I think the occupy government if it ever comes to power in this manner, should use patents that could advance society or save lives as vital to international piece. I also think that the inventor deserves payment or credit in an amount decided by the 99% instead of the 1%. I also think you should add that the people of earth shell declare no war, the only declaration we need is a stance of self defense.
