Forum Post: GetMoneyOut.Com might be another way to change things!!

Our elected officials are too preoccupied(no pun intended) with having to raise vast sums of money in order to win elections. You can predict 94% of the time who will win any election because 94% of the time it's the candidate who raises the most money who wins. This means that unless you are a big donor, your voice isn't heard by the elected official. It doesn't mean all elected officials are bad or corrupt.. what it means is that they spend time in an alternate reality where they only meet with and talk with lobbyists and big donors which shapes their view of the world and is why it is so different from the rest of us and why most people are very dissatisfied with our government. If we can get the money out of political campaigns maybe that would allow our elected officials to hear what we want from them and spend time doing it!!!
