Forum Post: Get Sallie Mae out of the government

Right now Sallie Mae is getting paid over $300 million dollars by the Department of Education while they've been violating the law. The NY Times and Huffington Post have both covered how they've overcharged active duty military members on interest rates and violated the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (racial discrimination). Tell Secretary Duncan to stop paying Sallie Mae hand over fist with tax payer dollars and start making college affordable instead!

And ALL of this has happened during the time period that Sallie Mae joined ALEC.
