Look if you want to go out there and protest go for it. I have no problem with that. BUT when your blocking traffic, harrassing people that are trying to get to work, and overall trashing the place your not accomplishing anything but making people think your hypocrits. Your going to say you want more jobs, and better pay, yet your going to stop people that are trying to get to their jobs by blocking streets, bridges, building entrances, and whatever else. Most of those people your stopping are your supposed 99% that are just trying to get to work so they can pay for their house, feed their family, and take care of their kids. Unless you think the only people that matter are the ones that come protest with you. In that case your not out there for the 99% your just out there for yourself. So figure that out and make a decision. Are you there for the 99% or just for a few people? And as far as complaining about the supposed "police brutality", and saying you have free speech and the right to assemble. You do that the right to assemble. PEACEFULLY. That doesnt include trying to force your way into buildings, crashing meetings, pushing or trying to push past (which could be considered assaulting) police barricades, throwing things at police or security for buildings, and the other multiple things that have been done. Now I understand some police can be excessive. Its human nature. There are always violent people. But the reason for doing what they have to and breaking up the crowd is simple. A person by themselves can be reasoned with, but a crowd/mob of people cant. They will inherently become more violent and forceful and start destroying everything in their path. Now Im sure everyone will say "ohh I would never do that". And alone they wouldnt. But most people will go and "follow" the crowd and do what the crowd is doing, whether they would normally never do those things or not. And so it is completely understandable why the crowds have been getting sprayed and broken up. Its for the safety and protection of the surrounding community. And if you think Im full of crap about how crowds/mobs react and why theyre broken up just do some research on it. As for the protesting, as I said, go for it. I have no problem with it. But do it peacefully, dont block traffic and hinder the regular (your supposed 99%) from getting to work, dont assault buildings and meetings, and dont trash the place.
Someone has to throw themselves on the gears.
