I have read your demands and griefs. For the most part, they are legitimate complaints, but, unfortunately, I think the path you have chosen is a waste of your time and talent. You see problems? Learn more about the problem and find a way to solve it yourselves. A major in renaissance art probably will not solve our nation's problems. Study engineering, medicine, architecture. Or just learn about a problem and take charge at home. It will be through the fruit of our minds and objectivity that we have the best shot. I am a pharmacist is a small town with about 20% poverty. I have no clue how to solve mass extinction or bring about a 2-state solution in the Middle East. But I can save the patient and insurance company money by switching from a brand to a generic medication. Go to school and learn a profession that you love that will make money and a difference. If you have a student debt, so what? A profession that earns money will pay it off. Work in the field you love for a couple of decades, then perhaps you will be better prepared to make a difference in Washington. Right now, you guys have bit off more than you can chew.

If you choose to be this ignorant about the people in support of and involved with this movement there can be no reasoning with you. If you would like to enlighten yourself about the truth then stick around here, open your mind and read a little. If you're only here to troll then you are worse than anything you may claim about OWS. Turn off Fox News and maybe you'll learn something. Otherwise, stop wasting our time.

Why are you so concerned then?

Why do you think that some of the people who are involved in this are not professionals, people with degrees and jobs? This is not a one-dimensional movement. Those of us who went to school, who work, and who have families are a part of this movement too. It is not just those who can occupy full time. Your suggestion is well meaning, and it sounds like you are in agreement in principle with this movement, so why not start considering yourself part of it? The changes that are needed cannot wait a few decades.

There are many of us who have already gone that route. And we're immersed in our jobs and our lives and our debt (well, not me since I don't have any debt). In order to wake up my peers, this is EXACTLY what they need.

There is a lot to chew but the survival of America depends on it

We have survived for 230 years. We have survived, depending on your political leaning, Carter and Bush. I hope whatever solution someone comes up with will not be a knee-jerk response

Greater societies that were together for way long have fallen. The Romans for example. We have only had a country a very short time if you look at the big picture and a super power even shorter. Our claim as a super power is going to end quick if our national policies don't change quick. China isn't our freind and they are catching us quick

You are absolutely right.
