Hello Texans!
I propose a gathering at or near the Capital in Austin, to discuss the events in New York and elsewhere. We all have a lot of questions, but as LiveStream observers, we are unable to ask the General Assembly in person. This should be a neutral gathering - no liberal, no conservative, no socialist, no fascist and no communist undertones. Personal beliefs should be respected; however, it would not be right to impose a specific political agenda on this gathering.
We have many questions, hoping to seek answers. We must ask ourselves and each other how to go about this. All in favor for a General Assembly in Austin, please email us at OccupyTexas@gmail.com and start organizing. Any and all spam emails will be blocked and deleted, thank you.
So, what's the deal? Did y'all meet up today?
We did meet up today, it was very productive. We didn't meet at the Capital; however, that is in our future. We have created a website http://occupytexas.blogspot.com/ for residents of Texas to use as their main news source. We need content contributors if you're willing. Please send content, media, art and inquiries to: OccupyTexas@gmail.com
