I realize that I am not a New Yorker, and though I am doing what I can here in Chicago, I would like to address one of the biggest obstacles of support OWS has: the use of the park. on FB site (https://www.facebook.com/pages/American-Patriots-Against-Occupy-Wall-Street/122712077833978) American Patriots Against Occupy Wall Street I have had the opportunity to find the greatest concern of particular 4 year in theater Viet Nam war vet (Name of Walter Mead): He lives there, and cannot use his park! His reply on a thread: "I'm not a tea party member. If they were occupying the park , and this were happening I'd feel the same way." Mr Mead deserves his park. OWS deserves a voice. I was wondering, just maybe, could the occupiers arrange for an area to be used for the enjoyment of the locals so that they can actually deal with the bigger reality? The ends do not justify the means if we step over those that insure our very right to protest. In the bigness of it all, don't forget that Mr Mead has already gone beyond what we ask of most. He deserves his piece of peace. Sharing is caring!
Thank you so much for considering this!
