Forum Post: gabrielle giffords; a love letter

gabrielle, you know i love you. you are the perfect woman and the day i married you was pretty neat. when you got shot in the head i got ths sinking feeling and i realized how much you meant to me and the kids. but its been a couple of weeks and i have been thinking, i should probably still go into space again.

look, you know i will look after you for the rest of your life, assuming i get back from this upcoming space mission about which i have really been excited. very few men have left the safety of the earth's atmosphere, and many have died in the pursuit, but i am really looking forward to retiring afterwards and never going into space again, even though its really fuckin cool and i have been trying my whole life to do so.

anyway, hopefully you will be awake before i get back but i just wanted to leave you a little note. i really gotta go theres some briefings and shit i gotta be at. hope you are feeling better and talk to you when i get back from my awesome, potentially deadly adventure
